- dec = decrease
- FL/FLO = front loop/front loop only
- inc = increase
- invdec = invisible decrease
- MC = main color
- rep = repeat
- rnd = round
- sk = skip
- tog = together
- yo = yarn over
- brackets - ( ) , [ ] , { } = work instructions inside as many times as directed
- asterisk - * = repeat instructions following or between as directed
